Here is a brief tour of the Maumee & Western Railroad at Liberty Center, Ohio. This is a former Wabash line that once connected Fort Wayne, Indiana with Toledo. It was leased to Indiana Hi-Rail Corp in 1989 after the 10-mile segment from Liberty Center to Maumee was removed.
Indiana H-Rail went backrupt in 1996, and Maumee & Western assumed operations in 1997. Note the poor condition of the 80-lb rail. The line ends just on the east end of town, and is the Wabash Cannonball Trail to Maumee, where the tracks pick up again.

Step onto the captivating world of Hotrail Productions, where the magic of lights, camera, and trains combines to create an unforgettable experience. I travel all over the country photographing railroad history in the making. My footage dates back to 1995. Whether it's a thrilling action sequence or a heartwarming romantic scene, the railway has long been a favorite setting for filmmakers and TV producers.
