At the Mt. Hood Avenue Stop in Portland, Oregon, an inbound TRIMET MAX Light Rail Train stops for passengers. The train consists of the Type 5 trainsets, which were built by Siemens in 2015. Light rail systems are inexpensive and quiet. This view looks north on the Chesapeake & Ohio branch line with the GTW diamonds in the foreground, and the B&O diamonds in the background. This looks eastward down the B&O with the C& O diamonds in the foreground and the GTW diamonds in the background. Note the B&O color position light signal bridge that was replaced in 1998, when the junction was simplified. This view looks northeast toward South Bend; C&O diamonds are the foreground, B&O diamonds in the background. Note the railroad relay box on the right. In 1998, this railroad interlocking was modified; the C&O was removed north of the GTW and B&O, including the connecting track and stub in the woods. The line was then simply fed into the B&O across Hamilton Street.
