 This Vintage Cantilevel Railroad Crossing Signal guards the Elkhart & Western Railroad at Adams Street in Plymouth, Indiana. The railroad crossing signage has been updated, as has the railroad crossing bell. The short cantilever remains in service to support the lights. This is the former Nickel Plate Railroad secondary line that once connected Indianapolis and Michigan City.

 At Wellsboro, Indiana, a westbound tank train with CN locomotives crosses the diamonds. Power is a GE ES44AC locomotive followed by a C44-9W. Railroad tank cars are efficient in hauling hazardous liquids in bulk.
