 On September 4, 2018, a westbound CSX auto rack train crosses over from the north main to the south main and crosses the GTW diamonds. Typical CSX train length is demonstrated here.  A train crossing over utilizing railroad switches creates interesting dynamics for photography.

 A TRIMET MAX Light Rail Train with Type 5 equipment pulls into the Mount Hood Ave. Station. This Light Rail Train Station is located next to a shopping mall near the Portland Airport.

 This abandoned railroad crossing is at Indiana Route 104 in Kankakee, Indiana. Located just north of Walkerton, this is the former NKP IMC Line. It is owned by the Elkhart & Western to the south and South Shore to the north. Note the old railroad crossing lights, one of which is missing.  At Milford Junction, Indiana, a pair of brand new Norfolk Southern SD70ACE's wait their turn to cross CSX's Garrett Sub. This Norfolk Southern locomotive is more fuel efficient than the C40-9Ws.  Here is a brief tour of the Maumee & Western Railroad at Liberty Center, Ohio. This is a former Wabash line that once connected Fort Wayne, Indiana with Toledo. It was leased to Indiana Hi-Rail Corp in 1989 after the 10-mile segment from Liberty Center to Maumee was removed. Indiana H-Rail went backrupt in 1996, and Maumee & Western assumed operations in 1997. Note the poor condition of the 80-lb rail. This line had the dubious distinction of being the most dangerous set of railroad tracks in the country.   Our first scene is Amtrak's northbound Lake Country Limited passing the Grayslake station on Independence Day 2000 amidst celebration . Next we see three Amtrak trains at Russel, IL, just south of the Wisconsin border. The first train is the southbound Empire Builder led by two Genesis diesels and an F40PH. Then a northbound and southbound Hiawatha pass, both with an F40PH and cab-control unit running "pull-pull" style.   At Plainfield, Illinois a railroad crossing gate at Main Street on CN's EJ&E mainline seems to have a crossing bell that is out of synch.

  Inbound Metra train 656 stops at Dee Road with the conductors getting some Hollywood attention! According to the Metra train schedules, this is train 656 to Chicago. To my knowledge, all of these classic railcars have been retired. This the former C&NW Railroad mainline to Harvard.
