Just as with a pedestal sign stand or pedestal led lights, railroad signals also were constructed on a pedestal. Here we see a rare Pennsylvania Railroad Position Light Pedestal SIGNAL at Marion, Indiana sitting across the tracks from a standard Position Light Signal. This is the remains of the PRR mainline that was once connected Logansport, Indiana and Columbus, Ohio. It is not known as the Redkey Secondary, and terminates at the town of Hartford City, Indiana.
