Railroad Crossing Arms With Offset Bell

At Plainfield, Illinois a railroad crossing gate at Main Street on CN's EJ&E mainline seems to have a crossing bell that is out of synch.

Old C&NW Bi-Levels and Conductors at Dee Road Station in 1995!

Inbound Metra train 656 stops at Dee Road with the conductors getting some Hollywood attention! According to the Metra train schedules, this is train 656 to Chicago. To my knowledge, all of these classic railcars have been retired. This the former C&NW Railroad mainline to Harvard. This station no longer exists.

CSX SD70MAC/GEVO at Effingham, IL 9/5/20

At Effingham, IL a westbound CSX intermodal crosses the old Illinois Central mainline with an EMD SD70MAC and a GE ES44AC. He is running on the former Pennsylvania Railroad Pittsburgh-St. Louis mainline. Conrail replaced the PRR Position Light Signals with NYC Tri-lights in 1985.

2 CSX Tier 4's at Wellsboro 9/4/18

At Wellsboro, Indiana, a pair of CSX Tier 4 GE's take a short container train across the CN (ex-GTW) diamonds. Wellsboro has always been a busy railfan hotspot, with over 70 trains per day.
